President Bush honored the Detroit Pistons at the White House on Monday for their 2004 NBA championship. I find this quite odd. The NBA is now more than halfway through the 2004-05 regular season. Is it not possible to have these meetings at least sometime before the next season starts for the particular basketball/football/baseball/hockey team that is being honored?
