SAN DIEGO -- A former college teammate of Pat Tillman is following in his footsteps, leaving a career in professional football to join the military.Stories are written only about famous people who make this type of sacrifice. It is worth noting that almost 13,000 men and women volunteered for active duty service in February. Here's a tip of the hat to all of them.
Pfc. Jeremy Staat, a former defensive lineman who played for the Pittsburgh Steelers and the St. Louis Rams, graduated from the San Diego Marine Corps Recruit Depot on Friday.
